Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. This Competition (“the Competition”) is conducted by Dry Ice International (hereinafter referred to as “Dry Ice International”) and Angelcy Brand Messengers (hereinafter referred to as “The Agency”) and may only be entered into by South African residents.
  2. By participating in any competition hosted partly or in whole by Dry Ice International, participants further agree to be bound by the Dry Ice International Website Terms and Conditions.
  3. No persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, franchisees, agents of, or consultants to Dry Ice International and the agency, its marketing service provider(s) utilised in connection with this Competition, any supplier of goods or services in connection with this Competition (including any promotional partners of Dry Ice International and the agency), any other person who directly or indirectly controls, or is controlled by it, or any spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of such persons, may enter into the Competition.
  4. These Rules may be amended by reasonable notification via the Dry Ice International and the agency website https://dryice.co.za/mobi/cooler-than-ice/ at any time during the Competition and will be applied and interpreted by Dry Ice International, and its decision regarding any disputes relating to such meaning and/or content will be final and binding.
  5. Participation by the entrants in the Competition constitutes an agreement to abide by these Rules.
  6. The Competition starts on 18 November 2024 and ends on 20 December 2024.
  7. By entering the Competition, it is deemed that you have read and understood these rules.
  8. The Winner will be randomly selected by means of a lucky draw from the database of entrants who participated throughout the campaign. The independent judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence shall be entered into.

 

  1. The prize is:

 

  • 1 of 5 45L cooler boxes filled with dry ice and ice cream.
  • Strictly not exchangeable for cash.
  • An entrant can enter as many times as they would like, but only one entry will be valid in the draw.
  • There will be 5 winners drawn randomly.

Proof of the prize letter, sent to the winner via email, will be required to redeem your prize.

  • Be eighteen years old or older and have a valid identification document. The winner is required to verify their identity and age before receiving their prize.
  • Abide by the rules and terms stipulated in this document.
  • Participate in the Competition during the duration of the campaign.
  • Go to https://dryice.co.za/cooler-than-ice/ and complete the form. In the form, you will be required to complete your personal information. If you opt-in to receive promotional material and/or marketing information, you consent to Dry Ice International and the agency sending you emails and/or SMSes (based on your selected preference) from time to time. You can opt out of receiving this communication at any point, should you wish to not receive it anymore.

  • The winner of the prize will be randomly drawn on or before 15 January 2025 by means of a live draw which will be broadcasted and posted on all Dry Ice International social media channels. The prize will only be confirmed upon receipt, by Dry Ice International and the agency, of a copy of the valid identity document. The prize must be redeemed by the winner or a nominated person with a valid ID document.
  1. Dry Ice International and the agency may, before or after the winner of the Competition has been publicly announced, require that the winner permit the use of their image and/or name in its marketing material and/or participate in its marketing activities (including endorsing, promoting and/or advertising Dry Ice International or any of its associated entities). The winner has the right to decline the request. Should the winner fail to decline this request by telephone, email or in writing to Dry Ice International at shane@dryice.co.zawithin 5 (five) days of being notified that they are a winner of the Competition, then such winner shall be deemed to have accepted the Invitation and granted permission and/or agreed to participate in the manner as aforesaid.
  2. To the maximum extent permitted in law, Dry Ice International and/or any of its associated entities, respective directors, officers, managers, employees, agents, franchisees, or anyone associated with any of them, including its promotional partners, shall not incur any liability to any person for any injury, loss, claim or damage of any nature whatsoever whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, as a result of entering into, or arising from any cause whatsoever or howsoever arising from their participation in any way in this Competition or the use of any prize won there under (any such prizes being utilised at the own risk of any winner thereof).
  3. In the event of a dispute in respect of any aspect of the Competition, the decision by Dry Ice International is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. By entering this Competition and selecting ‘yes’ to receiving marketing and promotional information, the entrant gives Dry Ice International and the sponsors permission to contact him/her for promotional purposes. The entrant will have the option to opt-out at any stage. This Competition shall comply with and will be subject to, any peremptory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (“CPA”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder, which are deemed to be incorporated herein (“Peremptory Provisions”). In the event of any conflict between these Rules and the Peremptory Provisions, the latter shall prevail. Copies of the CPA and the regulations promulgated thereunder are available on the Department of Trade and Industry Website: www.dti.gov.za.
  5. Any provision of these Rules or the Competition which are held to be invalid or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability without invalidating or rendering unenforceable the remaining provisions thereof.
  6. By participating in the Competition, you agree to release and hold Dry Ice International harmless from any and all losses, harm, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Competition, promotion or special offer or resulting from the participation in any competition or acceptance, possession, use or receiving of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
  7. Dry Ice International reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend any competition or promotion.
  8. In the event that a competition or promotion is cancelled or suspended, all participants or entrants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the Competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against Dry Ice International and their employees, agents, partners, suppliers, sponsors, or promoters. Dry Ice International reserves the right to change or retract any offer made on this site or in writing.
  9. The agreement or transaction entered, or payment made by or under it, would not give rise to any legal relationship, rights, duties or consequences whatsoever, nor will be legally enforceable, nor the subject of litigation, but all such arrangements, agreements and transactions would be binding in honour only.
  10. If any unforeseen circumstances beyond Dry Ice international’s control arise that result in Dry Ice international’s inability to offer the prize, the winner will not be entitled to compensation.
  11. The prize winner will be notified via telephone call and email, and information could be published on the Dry Ice International websites, social media platforms and participating printed and broadcast media.
  12. If the prize is not claimed within 7 days of the first attempt to contact the winner, the winner forfeits the prize, and Dry Ice International reserves the right to redistribute or dispose of it at its discretion.
  13. Dry Ice International and its sub-contractors are not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, unintelligible or incomplete electronic mail, telephone, electronic hardware and software program, network, internet and computer malfunctions, failures and difficulties, errors in transmission or any condition caused by events beyond the control of Dry Ice International which may cause the Competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  14. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above terms and conditions will result in the immediate disqualification of the participant or entrant.
  15. Any offering made on this site is subject to approval and confirmation by Dry Ice International; Dry Ice International will not be held responsible for any mistakes or discrepancies contained in any special offer.
  16. Any terms and conditions relevant to any special offer, promotion or Competition may not be amended except by publication on this website(s) or in terms of a written agreement signed by Dry Ice International.
